Hello! I’m Seifeldin Zook, a Software Engineer with a passion for coding. Since writing my first program in Python and seeing it produce the desired output, I have been captivated by the power of software to solve practical problems. This passion led me to use coding in my M.Sc. thesis project, where I worked on image recognition applications for the textile industry. My colleagues and I developed an app for image feature detection and matching using OpenCV.
I have a strong foundation in computer science, having taken classes such as Computer Controlling Technology, Software Engineering, and Object-Oriented Programming. Additionally, I have completed online courses like MIT’s 6.00.1X: Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python, and Harvard’s CS50’s Introduction to Computer Science. These courses have strengthened my understanding of algorithms, data structures, memory, databases, and networks.
With two years of experience in machine learning, I transitioned to a role as a Full Stack Web Developer at Sayegh 1944 Company in Lebanon. There, I contributed to various projects for York-e and Pearson Companies, developing web applications using JavaScript for both front and back ends. I gained expertise in Angular, NodeJS, MongoDB, and Express.
In September 2021, I took another significant step in my career by joining Knowledge Officer LTD, a UK-based startup. In a collaborative and dynamic environment, I helped develop the company's main website and implemented services to enhance customer experience. I played a key role in developing the scheduling system, ensuring seamless reservations and time allocation from a single source of truth. Our tech stack included React, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQL.
Currently, I am a Software Engineer at TreviPay, one of the largest companies in the US Fintech sector. I develop, maintain, and support their B2B payment and credit management platform.

I believe I possess the necessary skills and experience to be an exceptional software developer. I am always eager to learn more and refine my skills whenever possible. I am confident that I can be a valuable asset to any company.

On-campus, I have learned Mechanical theories and structures of different Textile machines. First, I have learned basic Electrical, Computational, and Design theories of machines. Afterward, in 4 semesters, I learned how to apply the knowledge we gained on Spinning, Weaving, and Knitting machines.
I was also interested in working on the software for textile machines. My Internship at this time was mainly in working on ERP Systems, Database Systems, and Networks. I was an Intern In “Mediterranean Textile S.A.E. - Albini Group” from the 15th of July, 2016 to the 10th of August, 2017. Co-implemented & co-designed a system allowing dealers to upload original PDF invoices, converting and saving them as EPS images. I wrote the code to read, convert, and save uploaded images using Perl and Ghost scripts. This project significantly impacted our customers by enabling comparisons between original and e-invoices.

SOW 3 - Dealer Rebate Reporting System for PACCAR
Co-implemented a system to address PACCAR's need to report dealer rebates and incentives to utilize Servergistics (Pricing Software) fully. My contributions included creating XML reports, building SQL queries for data extraction, automating report generation with cronjobs, and ensuring timely updates. This automation streamlined the rebate reporting process.

As a key player, I co-developed the Admin portal using React TS. This portal is essential for managing and controlling all elements of the learning process. My responsibilities in- cluded adding and (de)activating mentors and cohorts, controlling topic assignments, generating customer certificates, and managing user accessibility to the platform. My work significantly enhanced the efficiency of the KO team and directly improved the customer experience.

KO Reservation System Development
Co-developed and co-designed the KO reservation system to replace Calendly, reducing integration costs and overcoming its limitations. This new system met stakeholder goals and enhanced user experience by automatically adding reservations to their calendars.
